18th International Wound, Ostomy and Continence

Nursing Advanced Program

 

WOCN Advanced Program (WOCNAP) was accredited as one of the international enterostomal therapy education programs by the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET).

 

This education Program was introduced as a six-month course to those with an interest in WOC nursing care in July 2002. The course, named 'WOCNAP' was to nurture future leaders in the related fields by helping them to gain their knowledge about the subject of WOC nursing. Since the 5th International WOCNAP in 2004, International WOCNAP has successfully progressed with participation of 25 nurses who are from diverse nations; Philippine, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Hongkong, China, Singapore, Cambodia and 42 nurses from Korea.

 

The 18th International WOCNAP, which consists of a total of 320 hours of lecture and clinical practice, starts on October 14, 2019. Any nurse interested in WOC nursing care is eligible to apply for admission.

Anatomy and Physiology of Upper & Lower GI, Urinary System, Skin, etc. History of WCET, Korean Association of WOCN, Korea Ostomy Association, Learning Process, Ethic& Legal aspect on WOCN, Marketing, Research, Teaching Skill, Product Search, etc.

Ostomy

Type of Ostomy Surgery, Diseases and Medical, Surgical treatment related to Ostomy, Ostomy Management, Case Management, etc.

Wound

Pressure Ulcer, Leg Ulcers, DM foot, Wound Management, Fistula and Cancerous Wound Management, Debridement, etc.

Incontinence

Diagnosis and Management of Urinary and Fecal Incontinence, Manometry, Urinary Biofeedback, etc.

 

 

○ Admission Process

1. Period: October 14~December 6, 2019, Monday to Friday, 08:00 ~ 17:00 (Lunch included, 320 hours)

※ Lecture: 4 weeks, Clinical Practice: 4 weeks

2. Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (RN) with at least five years of experience

3. Application Due date : August 23, 2019

4. Tuition : $3,000

※ The foreigner students who corresponds to the scholarship possibility target country the scholarship
    utmost urgency: 2 People (Additional support for round-trip ticket)

※ Scholarship urgent target country appendix reference

5. Requirement
- Application, employment certificate, portrait shot (passport size) and letter from employer
