Dr. Han-Kwang Yang has appointed as the new President of the National Cancer Center
Dr. Han-Kwang Yang, Professor of Surgery at Seoul National University Hospital, has appointed as the new President of the National Cancer Center.
On November 4, the Ministry of Health and Welfare appointed Dr. Han-Kwang Yang as the ninth President of the National Cancer Center.
Born in 1960, Dr. Yang graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and received his master's and doctoral degrees from the same graduate school. He started as an intern and resident at Seoul National University Hospital in 1985 and served as the Director of Office of Public Relations(2010), Director of Gastric Cancer Center(2011), Chairman of Department of Surgery, Seoul National University Hospital(2016), and General Director of Seoul National University Cancer Hospital, Seoul National University Hospital (2020).
On the other hand, He served as a Chairman, Board of the Director, Korean Gastric Cancer Associations(2015), a Chairman, Board of the Director, Korean Society of Surgical Oncology(2016), and President of Korean Cancer Association(2020), and is currently serving as Secretary General of the International Gastric Cancer Society and President of the Korean Society of Surgical Oncology.
